How to take care of Kids Teeth..?
Encourage your kids to brush with fluoride toothpaste.
Teach them to spit out the toothpaste when they're done so they don't swallow it.
For Kids under age-2, just use a soft toothbrush and a little water, no toothpaste is necessary
Help your kids place the toothpaste at an angle against their gums.
Make sure they move the brush back and forth, gently, in short strokes.
Help them brush the front, back and top of teeth
Teach them to brush their tongue to remove germs and freshen breath
Use a pea-sized dab of fluoride toothpaste for kids ages 2-6, and use slightly more when they're older
How to reduce risk of caries from parents to kids ..?
Parents and caregivers can reduce the risk of passing on decay-causing bacteria from their own mouths by:
Cleaning their own teeth well, to reduce the amount of plaque (which contains bacteria) in their mouths
Avoiding sugary snacks and drinks between meals which can lead to decay
Visiting the dentist regularly for check-up and getting any cavities filled
Avoiding sharing items such as food, spoons, cups and toothbrushes with their, baby
Kissing the baby on their cheek, rather than the mouth
What Diet Changes Can Reduce My Caries..?
Limits Acidic Drinks
Use a straw to draw acidic liquid away from the teeth
Never drink acidic drinks when a dry mouth is present
Drink water to rehydrate and return the mouth to a neutral pH
Chew gum with Xylitol to help restore a neutral pH
Wait one hour to brush after drinking a sports drink or soft drink to allow enamel to re-harden after an acid attack
